Emerge, a global Talent Solutions company, is recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Manufacturing Engineer job in Cleveland, OH for our client, a manufacturer of high-quality products used in a variety of industrial applications. The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in the industrial plant and machining center. Experience with CNC Machining and similar applications is required for this position. Experience in Lean/Six Sigma, ISO and Continuous Improvement is required. You will use your engineering and machining experience to develop, evaluate and improve production and operations. Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer Job located in Cleveland, OH include:

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
• Develop and maintain sequence of operations to produce parts in conformance with product drawings.
• Specify and/or design tooling required to produce parts, Develop and maintain documentation to include NC and CNC programs and operational drawings to give operators information to complete operations.
• Specify and/or design gauging and frequency of inspection so that operators are able to ensure product is produced to drawing specifications.
• Perform as shop liaison to solve manufacturing problems to maintain production schedules.
• Identify and implement corrective action to prevent recurring problems and to maintain quality, delivery schedules, and product cost.
• Identify design of manufacturability features on product designs to maintain lowest product cost.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements of manufacturing processes to reduce cost and lead-time, and /or improve quality.
• Develop, comply with, and support ISO-9000, QS-9000, TS-16949, and 6-SIGMA procedures and work instructions to maintain company certifications and compliance with customer requirements,
• Train and develop skills and knowledge of co-workers to ensure continuity of departmental capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; preferably in mechanical engineering and three (3) to ten (10) years’ experience. Some educational requirements can be offset by experience in manufacturing, statistics, manufacturing engineering, and/or quality.
• Experience in Machining is required for this position. 
• Must have knowledge and practical application of Lean Six Sigma, ISO and Continuous Improvement.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
